Regional Prayer Activation
“Highlighting” Activation
Pull out your cell phone and scroll through your photos.
Ask God to “highlight” one of them by drawing your attention to someone he wants you to encourage with His love. Pay attention to what’s happening inside you as you do this. Is your heart pounding for someone? Is there a knot in your stomach? Do you find yourself circling back to one particular image? Are you being flooded with emotion for someone?
When you feel like you found one, ask: “God, what do you think about this person? What would you want them to know today?”
Write down what He says and send it in a text to this person.
Pull up a map of the area around your home/community. Have a conversation with God about the people living there using questions such as the ones below.
“God what is your heart for these people? Are there any injustices that you want to make right?”
“God, how can your kingdom be brought here?”
“How would you have ME serving the people of this community?”
Sow whatever you hear into the community by doing a prayer walk. As you traverse in and around the area, pray out loud in response to the things God shared with you concerning the people and his plans for this region.
Activations for Families
$100 Treasure Hunt Activation
Go to an ATM machine or your local bank and withdraw $100.
Prayerfully ask God to give you specifics about a person/stranger he would like to bless with the money. If this feels too risky to you-ask him to bring to mind someone you already know that he desires to bless.
Ask about their location: where they are, what they’re doing, who they may be with, or what vehicle they drive.
Ask about their appearance: clothing, gender, race, physical features, etc.
Make a list of the things you feel God is telling you and then go on a hunt to find them. If/when you make contact explain what you’re doing by simply saying that they were highlighted to you and that God wants to bless them. Offer the money and ask for any prayer needs.
If you don’t find the person you are “hunting” for, don’t be discouraged. Ask God in the moment, wherever you may be, to direct you to someone nearby to bless.
